The beauty at sea

I have always loved being by the sea, and have always lived close to the sea. I grew up on the west coast of Sweden a little bit north from Gothenburg. The sea has always fascinated me with its power and beauty. Imagine sitting by the sea on a warm summers day, feeling the breeze gently touching you and hearing the waves rolling in. To me that is extremely relaxing. I am really looking forward to the summer season especially on a rough day like this when we have strong winds with rain. It has been a very wet and windy winter here in Ireland. So some sun and warm weather is more than welcome.

I started to paint and draw boats a few years ago, a year before I started doing the cars actually. I love creating a quiet picture, that gives a sense of peace and quiet to the viewer.

These boat pictures below has all been made by using watercolour. And all these can be bought as prints or if you’d like to buy the originals just let me know.

Happy Monday!

  1. Dearest Eva,
You are not only a great artist but a deep philosopher as well. The way you say: it gives a sense of peace and quiet to the viewer… So true and you manage to capture those feelings and put them on canvas or on paper.
    Lovely work.
Let’s hope it soon will start to be real spring. Windy and cold it was here too, I had a slight bladder infection last week… Tomorrow night it will be -2°C again so let’s keep our fingers crossed for all our tropical plants that came out of the greenhouse before the weekend. It was 26°C for several days and the forecast didn’t hint about any frost.
It woudl be a disaster if they get damaged as we spent a fortune this winter on the electric heater in the greenhouse for keeping them frost free. Unusual weather we got.

    1. Hi Mariette
Thank you for your kind words, I can be a bit philosophic at times. I have to finish my new sailboat soon, don’t know where the time goes these days. It’s a beautiful morning here today, a bit frosty but it should warm up soon. Have a relaxing journey in to work. Hope it will warm up there to save your plants and all. A lovely time ahead of us. Enjoy your tuesday
