Well, at least here in Ireland it is slowly warming up during the daytime. The nights are still a bit chilly, well at least for me being used to much colder weather it is. However I’ve been living in Ireland for 8 years and 4 months…some say…that time flies, and it really has.
Thinking back on how it started, when arriving in Cork November 2006, all by myself, starting to work for a big company as Apple. It was huge and a big step.
I have always been drawing and creating some art here and there, but it was not until 2010 or 2011 that I really started to get in to it, and then I mean GET in to it. It has been and still is a fantastic journey. I think that creating art is so fulfilling and soothing for your soul.
This is a pencil drawing that is still in progress actually, but I’ve been looking through some older works and thought I should share some of them.
In this painting I wanted to catch the dramatic energy of the rescue plane flying in over the flames
Here’s a pencil drawing of the round tower in Glendalough, just up the mountains from where I live. It will only take us 20 – 25 minutes by car to go there.
And here we have the 4 amigos from Top Gear, it’s also a work in progress
And of course my fav subject, the classic cars.
I am looking forward to the weekend when I will work on some more pieces, I have a few things in progress and at the same time some ideas are taking form in my head. They are sort of lining up so I’d better start to get busy lol!
I will be back soon with some more updates. In the meantime feel free to visit my website to see what I have been up to lately, I have added some new pages.
I always love to see what you have been drawing/painting. you are so very talented on so many different subjects. Hope warm weather gets there soon and spring springs for you

Hi Sandra,
Yes, the warmth is slowly getting here, it’s so nice during the days when it’s calm and sunny. And only two more days then it’s the weekend again and I can dig into my art work again, I just love that!

Your art is just getting better and better as you branch out into lots of different mediums. Love the pencil drawing of Brad Pitt… He’s a handsome one to draw!!!!!!
The airplane rescue is dramatic… Very nice.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Betsy,
Thank you very much 🙂 I am trying to keep the variety even though I have some areas that I am focusing on right now. It’s a lot about the children’s illustrations, and the reason for that is that I have a few projects coming up where I need to be in that state of mind to create illustrations for children’s books. It’s all very exiting!

Dearest Eva,
You are so versatile in your subjects and you do them all very well. The passion you have for your art shows through and that is the main ingredient one needs!
Sending you hugs from an already quite warm Georgia; we took a big leap from windy and cold (for our standards) to very warm but I love it!

Hi Mariette,
Thank you for your kind words. I really love it when I can sit down and work on some art. I do have some interesting projects ahead of me, one is a new book illustration project that I am exited to start working on.
The mornings are still chilly here but it gets warmer as the sun rises 🙂

Yes, I totally agree with what you said about the fantastic journey about creating art. Also for me it’s soothing and fulfilling for my soul and I also went back to it in 2010 when I was very sick and painting was one of the best therapies I could do at that time. It’s such a pleasure to look at all of your different pictures! It’s fantastic what you have created. I like the pretty young man and the four from top gear look great as well as the rescue aircraft and the landscape. And of course I LOVE the classic cars!
